In various parts of the world there is an intense stigma with the use of hearing instruments, particularly the behind-the-ear or receiver-in-the-ear products. Hearing aid manufacturers have made devices smaller and in colors so that they blend with skin color, but the receiver wire or tube is still obvious. This is still a problem in some cultures and situations where stigma prevails.
Vanish has had many requests from hearing aid users as to why a product that vastly improves their confidence, comfort and the acceptance of their hearing instruments is not available in their country. Currently, Vanish International is aggressively seeking international distributors who want to deliver the best products and reduce stigma to join us as partners. The primary objective of Vanish International is working with hearing products distributors to make Vanish available world-wide.

Vanish International is pleased to announce that Dr. Robert Traynor has accepted the position of Managing Director, Vanish International. Dr. Traynor has been instrumental in the development of Vanish from it’s conception and development to it’s full scale introduction into retail audiology. He has 40 years of clinical experience seeing patients each and every day and using Vanish with his patients. Additionally, he was Senior International Audiology Consultant for a major hearing aid manufacturer for 17 years. He also serves as a Adjunct Professor of Audiology in 4 universities in the United States and is the co-author Strategic Practice Management, 3rd Edition. Bob plans to use this expertise and experience to support distributors in the marketing of Vanish to their customers.

The driving force behind Oticon’s decision was the desire to provide the people of Korea with the most significant option to improve the acceptance and satisfaction of their hearing products.
